DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (arachidonic acid)are fatty acids found in human milk that support brain and eye development. Recent research showed that adding DHA and ARA to preterm formulas could benefit preterm infants. In this study, premature infants fed a preterm formula (in hospital) and NeoSure (postdischarge) supplemented with DHA and ARA until 12 months corrected age(CA) had improved visual development (measured at 6 months of age) and early language development in subset of infants.1 (Per NICU practice, these babies also received human milk.) Preterm discharge formulas, like NeoSure, have higher levels of protein, calories, and many key vitamins and minerals as compared to term formulas (like Similac® Advance®) when mixed according to directions. These nutrients support growth and assist in preventing nutrient deficiencies. The American Academy of Pediatrics states that the use of preterm discharge formula to postnatal age of 9 months may result in greater linear growth, weight gain, and bone mineral content compared with the use of term infant formulas. NeoSure Advance provides a higher level of nutrients on per calorie basis that premature babies need for good growth and development.   Policies & Procedures   Payment policy We only accept payment in the form of Paypal, money order, or cashier's check. Any other method of payment will have to be previously discussed prior to the end of the auction. We do charge sales tax in the State of Tennessee. Feedback will be posted once we have received payment and we have received feedback from buyer. Shipping information We take great care in packaging your items to ensure they arrive safely. Items will be shipped within 24 hours after payment is received for your item. We typically ship smaller items via USPS Priority Mail, and UPS Ground for larger items. We do not provide tracking numbers unless requested.
