These decorative, hand-painted plates were created in France and commissioned by the best, Georges Boyer, Limoges, France.Each plates has it's own theme and specific scene from one of the greatest tales by Lewis Carroll. Made in 1983, and issued on the occasion of the Sesquicentennial of Lewis Carroll's birth. They are antique and one-of-a-kind. Each plate comes with a wall hanging hook on the back of the plate to display on a child's nursery wall. You can also purchase plate holders if you wish to display them somewhere else.We purchased the entire collection at an antique mall.We were excited to find the whole collection, and we never have seen anything like it. The intricate detailing on each porcelaine plate is gorgeous.The entire set also comes with a booklet, both in French and English to show the collections authenticity. You'll receive 8 plates, which is the entire collection made. Each plate has a hand-written number on the back of each plate, showing how rare the collection is.
