It is a green gingham fabric and it is like brand new. It is designed just like the Pottery Barn Lullaby rocker but at a much better price. I bought this one from the Charles Keath Home Decor Catalog. I had it in my daughters nursery and it was covered with a Pottery Barn rocker slipcover so it was protected and we never sat in it...maybe a couple of times. It was basically there for looks/display purposes. The PB slipcovers should fit it fine if you want to change the look of the fabric. This is a nice chair and in perfect crisp like new condition.
