I paid around $140 to have this carrier custom made. The 4th Generation is now discontinued making this fabulous, amazingly comfortable carrier VERY HARD-TO-FIND. This particular version of the 4th Generation Beco was made for only two months in the Fall of 2006, making this one even more rare."Red Glades" Beco on denim straps - fabric is Alexander Henry's Everglades - a beautiful mixture of rich colors, the reds, greens, blues are vibrant and eye-catching - complimented well with denim straps and denim lining the inside body of this carrier.The hood has never been used and is made from the matching everglades fabric. There is also a matching storage bag and chest clip included with this carrier.This 4th Generation Beco is lightweight as well as gorgeous. Once your little one is to the age where they occasionally want to get down and walk for a bit, you can roll your Beco up and enclose it with the 'stay put' strap...just walk around with it still on your waist and then simply release the velcro strap and pull the body of the carrier back up when your little one wants to be worn again.The 1/4" padded waist is very comfortable and helps distribute the weight of your child to your hips so you don't have discomfort in your neck or shoulders. The shoulder straps are also comfortably padded.Both the waistbelt and the shoulder straps are adjustable so they will fit any size body and will comfortably support your little one from birth up to 55 pounds.The hood is detachable so you can remove it if you don't need it. There is also a slip pocket on the outside of the carrier - you can store the hood in the pocket, your keys, cell, wallet, etc.I have kept this carrier rolled up and stored away from sunlight so it is in perfect condition - no fading, no stains, no tears, no flaws, just gorgeous.
