Description
Ski BuggySkiBuggy.com                          info@SkiBuggy.comWe are selling instructions (which include a few key parts) for converting your children's bicycle trailer into a ski trailer.  Once converted, you can pull your trailer while cross country skiing, skate skiing, snowshoeing, or just walking in the snow and convert it back for use as a bike trailer in minutes.  Pull your precious kids (plus extra clothes, food, etc.), loads of firewood, groceries, or all of your camping gear on a backcountry camping or hut trip. Similar ski trailer conversion kits are available for Burley (d'Lite, Solo, and Tail Wagon models) and Chariot (Cheetah, Cougar, and CX2 models) bicycle trailers for $220 plus $400-$825 for the trailer.  If you don't mind spending $600-$1050, these products are convenient and work well.  However,  the Ski Buggy conversion kit performs better than the Chariot ski conversion kit or the Burley ski conversion kit in deep powder.  Wider and longer skis (better flotation) and a rigid hinged harness system (keeps trailer ski tips up above the snow) make the Ski Buggy system extremely versatile and effective in all types of snow and terrain. The Ski Buggy kit works with whatever brand and style of bicycle trailer you own, saves you money, works great, is very rugged, and will get you out enjoying the snow more.  It is very safe and stable. You will not need to permanently alter or cause added wear to your bicycle trailer. If you don't own a bicycle trailer, buy a cheap one and then use the Ski Buggy universal conversion system to get it ready for the snow!  You need to have a bicycle trailer (any brand or style will work), a set of 130-170 cm downhill skis (an old beater pair works fine and is easy to find for cheap at thrift stores or free from ski shops), and a backpack with a hip belt (ideas for making your own hip belt are included in case you don’t have one).  You will also need some basic tools: drill, a few drill bits, screwdrivers, adjustable crescent wrench, pliers, saw for cutting PVC pipe, utility knife, tape measure, Sharpie marker. When you purchase, you will receive a few key parts, a couple of pages of instructions for assembling your ski trailer, a list of parts to buy (including which aisle each part can be found in at Home Depot), and a set of color photos with captions to guide you through each step of the building process.  You should expect to spend $40-45 at Home Depot and a few hours building the conversion kit.
