Our baby was born at 36 weeks & 6 days - She weighed over 7lbs but failed her car seat test.  Babies necks are not strong enough at this point.  We had to purchase this car bed before leaving.   After calling the baby stores and checking online, I could not find one.  We ended up having to purchase this one from the hospital. The owners manual is included with a replacements order form on the back. It is recommended that you use a car bed until your preemie / premature baby reaches his/her due date.  You can of course continue to use until the weight/height max. has been met if you choose.
