This one is made of cherry wood. The other two are Honduras mahogany (not available) and red oak (still to be finished). The overall dimensions are 24” wide x 44” long x 40” high, and the sleeping area is 18” x 38” and 13” to top of rails. The actual weight is 37 pounds.   This gliding cradle has several coats of satiny feeling non-toxic finish. The slats are not bent, but cut of solid cherry by many separate operations and each one is painstakingly sanded to it’s final form. The base ends are created with half lap dovetail joints which are not only beautiful, but make very strong and sturdy legs. Of course everyone knows how nice and soothing a gliding action is. This design is my own, and you won’t see these cradles anywhere. It is a fine piece of furniture that will be an heirloom for generations to come. This is an artistic piece that should be set up all the time, and after your baby outgrows it, you will have a place for babies of your friends and family when they visit.   The mattress is included and is washable, hypo-allergenic and mildew resistant.
