Bottle Pockets – Petunia added a gusset to the side pocket and interfacing to the top edge so that bottles of any size easily slip in and out. There is one internal bottle pocket too. Backpack Straps – Petunia Pickle Bottom changed the positioning slightly on the d-rings that hold the straps for a more comfortable fit. Top Zipper – Some mommies mentioned that it was hard to see inside the bag because the opening wasn’t large enough. To meet their wishes, we changed the sewing process to have the zippers open completely end to end. It’s a subtle detail, but it makes a big difference. Changing Pad – Perhaps the biggest and best improvement to the Boxy Backpack is the lengthened changing pad. Now moms can get more use out of it as baby grows. The pad is also detachable. Many woman (mommy or no mommy) have asked that the Boxy be made without the changing station attached. While Petunia would never dream of taking that amazing functionality away, this is a nice solution and it’s easier to clean. Interior Pocket – The "dirty diaper pouch" now velcro’s off from the interior of the bag so mom doesn’t have to "dig" to find it.
